Photo Consulting
I believe one of my distinctive offerings functions like a consulting service. Occasionally clients face a specific challenge that requires more than standard photography or video. I help clients clarify what type of content will best solve their problem and then design a tailored package to meet those exact needs.
How the process works — 1) Schedule a consult to discuss your goals and project scope in detail, 2) We create a tailored package of services with transparent, clearly stated pricing, 3) Agree on specific deliverables and a realistic timeline that fits your needs, 4) Sign a simple contract to confirm terms and expectations, 5) Begin the work and proceed methodically toward final completion and delivery.
James is a Interior Design, Architecture, and Hospitality photographer.
His experience in narrative filmmaking helps create compelling stories, even in the simplest of still photos.
Natural lighting, crisp colors, balanced compositions are found throughout his work, but he’s always looking to collaborate on new artistic styles with designers, architects, developers, agents, etc.
He’s based in Brooklyn (NYC) but shoots everywhere…especially near warm weather, good waves and golf:)
One thing that sets him apart from other photographers is his many years of experience in narrative filmmaking — shorts, documentaries, and feature films — combined with a solid background in the corporate and tech sectors. He studied film at Chapman University (Dodge College) and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, along with a Master’s in Film Production (Cinematography) from Chapman. He has traveled to Italy often and is especially inspired by the landscape architecture there. His approach varies with each project, but usually aims for a thoughtful balance between modern design and authentic character. Several of the films he has contributed to have screened at film festivals.

Homes. Only high end luxury or bespoke designs, really. I'm not interested in shooting standard "real estate" content for brokers. Moreso for architects, designers, etc.
